Medical Staff and Medications
The Heartland Hockey Camps will be staffed with a full time
nurse or EMT. All illnesses and injuries will be attended to by
our medical staff. In those situations that require additional
medical assistance, the campers will be taken to the Cuyuna Medical
Center, conveniently located just 6 miles north of the Heartland Sports
Complex.
At the time of registration, we will have a book that you should
register any medical problems and medications. Our nurse will
administer the medications at the appropriate times .

Supervision
The Heartland Hockey Camp takes pride in itself, with an
experienced staff of counselors and instructors, all of whom reside in
the complex with the students, creating the unique situation of 24-hour
availability to the students. To further ensure
our campers safety and well-being, we have installed a new
state-of-the-art DVD video surveillance system. Our 20 cameras are
strategically located throughout our 40 acre campus. This security
feature allows our staff members the advantage of monitoring all camp
activities 24 hours a day.

Student Requirements
Hockey camp students are required to bring their own
protective equipment. Students should also bring a weeks
supply of recreational and athletic clothing, towels and personal
items. The Heartland Complex has a complete laundry
facility. Campers are responsible for supplying their own bedding.
Sleeping bags are preferred.
Hockey camp students should arrive on Sunday,
anytime between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Checout time is noon on Sunday

Banking and Security
All campers will be offered the option of securing their spending
money in our banking system. Campers will have the option of secured dorm rooms.
There will be a refundable deposit of $5.00 for all keys to secured
rooms. In addition, all campers will be provided with a private locker room
storage area. |

Recreation

The campers have adult-supervised options during their
scheduled recreation times. These include swimming, water
skiing, tubing, boating, canoeing, fishing, and other water sports at
our private beach on Portage Lake, located directly adjacent to the
Heartland Sports Complex. Other adult-supervised options
available during recreation time include volleyball, field sports,
roller hockey, basketball, weight lifting, golf, tennis and miniature
golf. If your camper has a strong desire to play golf,
tennis or fish, he/she should bring his/her clubs, racket or fishing
pole.

Hockey Camp Fee and Deposit
A 50% deposit is required for each application. This
deposit will reserve your selected camp. When we have received
your application, we will immediately contact you by mail, confirming
your registration. You will also receive a pre-camp information
packet. THE REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE ON OR BEFORE
JUNE 1st. STUDENTS WITH BALANCES UNPAID AFTER JUNE 1ST WILL FORFEIT
THEIR RESERVED CAMP SELECTION AND THEIR DEPOSIT. Payments in full at time of application are acceptable.
The one-week camp fee is $975.00. The two-week camp fee is
$2,050.00 for Bantams and $2,150.00 for high-school players. This fee
covers the cost of the instructional staff, extensive ice time, room,
meals, recreational activities, power shooting and hockey camp
jerseys. Families registering more than one child will receive a $50.00 discount off the total of the children's rates.
Day campers will only be accepted at the reduced rate of $825.00 during
the sessions of June 20-26, However, day campers will be admitted at full price
during any other sessions throughout the summer. |

Cancellation Policy
No refunds will be given after May 1st, or due to late
arrival or early departure. Your deposit will be credited
and applied to a future camp fee. For those campers who
find it necessary to cancel before May 1st, there will be a 25% fee for
administrative costs. There will be no refunds for credits unused, also,
no refund if a student is expelled, or does not attend or leaves on this own accord.
There is no date deadline for camp registration. We will accept applications
until the camps are full. Final balances due date, for applicants registering early,
is June 1st, 2010. Campers may apply to any open camps anytime after June 1st, 2010 until each
particular camp is full. There will be a late fee of $25.00 accessed to all second payments
not received by June 1st, 2010.

Newly Remodeled Dorm Rooms
Our dorm rooms vary in size, as a result, each camper will
have the opportunity to request his/her roommate. Please
indicate your requested roommates on our application form, as this will
assure you that your desires will be met. Our rooms can
accommodate groups ranging from 2 to 10 campers.

Saturday Stay-Overs
If it is more cost efficient or convenient for you, we will
allow campers to come in a day early or stay over an extra day for a
cost of $100.00. This fee will include lodging Saturday night
and meals on Saturday and Sunday.

Travel and Transportation Information
We will provide transportation to and from the
Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport for a fee of $200.00 round
trip. Because the airport is 120 miles from the Heartland
Hockey Camps, there will be only one pick-up and drop- off time on
Saturday. The pick-up time will be 6:00 p.m., and the drop
-off time will be 12:00 noon. Please make your flight
arrangements to coincide with these times, or make arrangements to fly
on to Brainerd.
We will pick up and drop off campers at the Brainerd Airport or
Brainerd Bus Station at anytime Saturday or Sunday. The fee
for this service will be $75.00 round trip. To assure that
your transportation needs are met, please send your travel itineraries
and payments to us at least two weeks prior to your arrival date. There
will be a $50.00 late fee assessed for late information
